The Datiq Distribution Platform transports hundreds of video items every day to and from television stations, production companies, advertising companies, media archives and freelancers. Datiq is much easier, cheaper, more reliable and a lot faster than the traditional sending of a tape by courier.

Sending an item to multiple destinations is even simpler: no need to make tape copies, just select destinations an click a button !

Video items are stored on Datiq systems in a digital format, so easy access is ensured. News editors now spot news items at home and start the download, even before they leave for the office. And because news items are held in storage for a period of two months, a compilation of events is made with a few mouseclicks.

Video items are stored in a digital format, so they can be easily transcoded and used for other purposes. Publication of video on streaming media (Internet or mobile) is used to facilitate news agencies and publishers.

At the start in 2003 a special connection to the Datiq private network was needed to ensure a safe delivery of video files. Since then, the performance and quality of the Internet have improved sufficiently to allow the use of the Datiq Distribution Platform over the Internet.
